Coconut water

Too dense to be highly refreshing and tastes nothing like desiccated coconut, but still a great alternative to mineral water.  Chopped right in front of us by an indonesian woman, costed less than 1 sing dollar (!) and was more than enough for three people. I definitely didn't fall in love with it, but I'll happily have it again.

Shady Shack

We were seeking for an ADVENTURE (the most commonly used word over the weekend). That's why instead of choosing a regular resort we went for "basic but lovely accomodation at Bintans Trikora Beach". Basic - that's for sure! Bunk beds/just mattresses + mosquito nets in wooden huts. I don't know about the lovely, but I know that we were staying literally on the beach + the owners were super friendly and helpful - which made up for the lack of running water.

Weekend getaway to Indonesia - Bintan!

2 hours on a ferry and you find yourself in a place different from Singapore in every possible dimension. Starting from the weather (sunny, finally!), attitude towards life (people are rahter poor, still they are smiling all the time and seem to be happy with what they have, whereas you just don't come across randomly smiling person in Singapore), prices (even if we were charged 3 times as much as locals, it was still cheaper than in Singapore), finishing with the beaches (which are not the most spectacular in the world, but definitely better than Sentosa).

It is impossible to write one post every single day! I guess I overestimated my quantity of spare time or rather underestimated the time you need to prepare one note.

Prince George's Park Residence

Prince George's Park Residence (PGP) will be my home for the next couple of months. It turns out that despite the fact that no taxi driver knows how to get here, the food could be so much better, 80% of people don't have AC - some want to change from idyllic UTown (another residence on campus) to for-sure-not-idyllic PGP.

Conclusion? It's all about the people you're with.

Hello Singapore!

Hey everyone!

My name is Ewa and I am Finance and Accounting student. I decided to take a break from harsh polish winter and for next 4 months I will be attending the National University of Singapore (Business School).
